About DxCodebook

DxCodebook is a free ICD-10-CM code reference for medical coders, billers and documentation staff in the United States. It shows the FY2027 edition, in effect October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027: 74,879 billable codes with their titles, instructional notes, 7th characters and Alphabetic Index entries exactly as the National Center for Health Statistics publishes them, next to the CMS grouping and edit flags of the same year.

What it is not

It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, explain conditions or recommend treatment. It does not tell you which code a record needs: that depends on the documentation and the Official Guidelines. It is not a government site. Not affiliated with or endorsed by CDC, NCHS, CMS or WHO. For official use, verify against the NCHS files and the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines.

Who makes it

DxCodebook is published by BiLingoPlus LLC. The pages are generated from public NCHS and CMS files by an automated build; no person reviews individual pages, and we do not claim a reviewer. Every code title and note is checked character by character against the source files at each build (how this site is built). There is no advertising on the site at present. We count page views with Google Analytics 4; the privacy page says what it records.
